She worked at Birks Jewellers for 16 years as Office Manager and then over the next nine years she worked at an investment firm full time while continuing her education. Leaving the investment industry she then took her business full time doing subcontract work for many different firms as well as doing the income tax business. She completed the Canadian Securities Course in April of 1994 and then in 1997 she completed the Canadian Investment Manager that gave her the FCSI (Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institution) designation. She continues to expand on her knowledge and skills and over the past several years Sharon has taken many income tax and accounting courses as well as three Estate Planning courses. Sharon also carried her insurance and mutual fund license while working in the investment industry. This background compliments Sharon's Income Tax and Accounting business.
Sharon has volunteered for the Timberlea-Prospect Liberal Association, SS Atlantic Society Heritage Park, The Halifax Metro Crisis Pregnancy Centre and most recently she is the Treasurer for New Life Baptist Church. She has also been a member of the Centre for Women in Business since January 2003.
Sharon has lived in Whites Lake, Nova Scotia since 1986 and continues to expand her business specializing with both individual tax clients and small business accounting.
